How to Use Perfume Tester Strips

1. Apply the fragrance
Spray an atomised perfume onto the wider end of the strip, or dip the narrow pointed end into a fragrance vial or essential oil.

2. Allow the fragrance to dry
Wait a few seconds for the alcohol and initial vapours to evaporate. This allows the fragrance to develop naturally and makes it easier to identify its different notes.

3. Smell the fragrance
Hold the strip approximately 3–5 inches (8–13 cm) from your nose and gently inhale. This allows you to evaluate the fragrance without overwhelming your sense of smell.

4. Label each strip
Write the fragrance name, reference or batch number on the wider base of the strip to avoid mixing up different scents.

5. Use a fresh strip for every fragrance
Tester strips are intended for single use. Using a new strip for each fragrance helps prevent cross-contamination and ensures a more accurate evaluation.
